i stumbled across what appears to be a website maintained by a jw circuit overseer.
on it he includes what looks like a question from readers.
it has very strong things to say about the 'beastliness' of cats--and why christians should consider whether or not it is proper to have them in our homes.
if anyone managed to sneak this into a watchtower as a real article, many jw's would not be giving their cats away, but throwing them out because they wouldn't want anyone else to have such a false-religious-origined pet to be owned by even a worldly person. and that, i believe, is the point. that if it were in the WATCHTOW-WHORE, it would be accepted by all "lovers of Jehovah"

my friend (ms) is going to give talk #45 i told him it was posted here he said not possible because each congregation have different talk so this is not possible and the net is all bs and we know nothing here all we post is just to undermine the wts so if someone know what is talk #45 pls pls post it so i can show him we have the truth.

my husband and i play paintball and would love to meet others all over who do also.
we want to make a trip in a few years to go all over and try out different paintball courses.
my husband wasn't a jw so he doesn't know axactlly what i went through but he is a great support.
i don't know if i would like to play, but i'll write the society and see what they have to say about it. i have a suspicious feeling it's a little too much like war for my bible-trained conscience. but if it isn't too much like war, and it is a-ok with the ol' ball 'n' slave, then i'd be happy to join you in your game of "capture the gun-like flag"

after reading the responses to amazing1914's recent post, i decided this would be a great thread to start.
please share some of your memories!.
when my mother first became a jw, i was very sporatic with meeting attendance.
i feel for all of you that had such terrible experiences as children... i was lucky enough to have most of my extended family be jw's (although now i wish they would see what i see). every meeting we would see each other and play before and after the meetings. i always say i would never change how i was raised... but how i will be in the future, and how my kids will be raised is up to me. FORTUNATELY for myself and my future children, we have the knowledge that leads to a lot less stress and bullshit.

a few days ago i had the privilege of being invited to a regular pioneer's birthday party.
i met her a couple of weeks ago, and even though she knows i am inactive and have serious doubts, we hit it off on a social level.
so that's why i was invited... .

haha i believe it's called tucker's marketplace because of how easy it was for vandals to change the company sign on the building... anyways, it was at a local bar/restaurant. i was surprised because i know many non-pioneer dubs that inconspicuously celebrate their bdays, but even they don't normally give and accept gifts. that's what surprised me. even my friend's mother (who is solid like a rock in the faith) was invited under the pretense of it being celebritory of the date the pioneer was born, so something in dub-world is amiss lately.

i noticed that a couple of months ago when i was reading that wonderful article. i just dont get what the difference between luck and fortune is. there is a guy at my work and we call him lucky because his name in italian is "fortunato".... soooooooooo? if luck in italian is fortunato and fortunato obviously is the same as fortune, what's the goddam difference yo?
